The Augustana College Social Committee was organized in 1937, replacing the former Board of Control of Social Activities. The group claimed to "ignore organizational frontiers, including all students in its plans." The committee planned numerous all-school social events throughout the school year, including Halloween and Christmas parties as well as a Spring picnic.
